Fletcher's Lake. (21 PEGS) (1 Rod.)         

The Match / Pleasure Lake.

  

 

This lovely, mature lake is one of most popular lakes at Clawford. 

There are twenty one pegs on Fletcher's Lake, spaced out at over 20 yards between pegs.

For the anglers convenience, there are twenty one purpose made fishing platforms spaced around the lake. 

Fletchers Lake is situated next to the main car park for easy access & only twenty yards from the disabled self catering units.

The lake can be seen from the breakfast room, beer garden & Patio Area.

It has a brick built bridge to the East & has three islands & ranges from 2 to 12 feet deep.

The margins and islands have a sparse covering of Reeds & Rushes.

This lake has some underwater features, including sunken islands and deep wide trenches.

The lake is stocked to over 2,000 lbs. of fish per acre including Carp, Bream, specimen Roach, Rudd & Tench.

On October 18th. 2015 this lake was re-designated as a match / pleasure Lake.

Until all the large carp have been removed from the lake this lake will only be fished with Rod & line.

 

The Lake record during a match is held by John Lovell from Bideford, Devon, on the first day of our Autumn festival on Monday 12th. September 2016 with a mixed bag of 117 lbs. 13 oz. from peg 16.

During the July 2017 festival, Brian Law weighed in a mixed bag of 114 lbs. 7 oz.

HOOK LENGTHS TO BE COVERED WITH A SILICON TUBE.

POLE FISHING & ROD AND LINE.

NO BIVVIES.

KEEP NETS CAN ONLY BE USED IN AN ORGANISED MATCH.
