Major John's Lake. (2 Rods)   

The Premier Carp Lake.

 

Major John's Lake is about 4.25 acres.

The lake has three islands and ranges from three to twelve feet deep.

It contains fourteen swims.

Each swim contains many different underwater features within easy reach of the swim & are well worth finding.

Major Johns Lake is situated below Tanners Lake with the 8 acre orchard to the North.

Major Johns Lake is stocked with three hard fighting strains of King Carp.

The cream and slate colored Carp amongst the prettiest Carp on the Clawford complex & are the original lake stock.

The recent stocking of some pretty, light colored carp are an English strain of carp, a cross from the Horseshoe Lake and the Orchid Lake strain.

100% English strain

Presently, this Lake is stocked at a density of over 1,000 lbs. of fish per acre.

This lake contains Carp between 15 and 35 lbs. with at least 100 20's.

Major Johns Lake is one of the four specimen carp lakes & can be fished through the night.

This lake is now available to a limited number of anglers on a day ticket (subject to availability) & pre-booking.
