Tanner's Lake is about 4.25 acres and has sixteen swims.

It is situated between JR's & Major John's lake.

The lake ranges from three to twelve feet deep with many underwater features including deep trenches, shelves, holes, gravel bar and shallow areas. It has a wealth of natural food and wild life.

It is considered to be a medium to hard water. 

A minimum 10 lbs. breaking strain line is required for this lake.

This lake contains over 175 big carp predominantly between 21 to 42 lbs.

Tanners lake contains some of the biggest King Carp on the Clawford complex.

This lake contains a 50% of the original Clawford carp and has been stocked further with some large Simmo's Carp and a lot of hard fighting +20 lbs. to 30 lbs.

The remaining stock are an English strain of Carp.

A cross between the Horseshoe and the Orchid Lake strains. These Carp are a hard fighting strain with a great body shape and are pretty.

There are also some Double figured Carp in this lake which are renowned to be fast growers & hard fighters.

The mix of stock carp will improve the fighting qualities of the offspring.

The lake, islands and banks have been remodeled to provide an enhanced environment for the carp and better access & facilities for the angler.

Tanners lake is stocked at 780 lbs. per acre.

During re-stocking, each carp was weighed and their weights recorded.

Fishing on Tanners Lake is for residents and a handful of local anglers who are members of the Clawford Carp Club.

This lake is now available to a limited number of anglers on a day ticket (subject to availability) & pre-booking.
